Surprise! Is There Room In This Selfie For One More?
Is there room in this selfie for one more? We think so!
Because Baby Lia #4 is on the way!
Yep, you heard that right! Our newest addition is at this very moment being knitted together…..and I’m paying the price. We weren’t planning on telling the kids this early, but I have been ridiculously sick and tired and they were worrying about me. Of course, they are over the moon!
Well, mostly.
Oakley (4) says if it’s a girl he’s going to give her a knuckle sandwich. So there’s that. In other news, he also would like to call the baby “Mommy” if it’s a girl (How cute is that?!) and either “Oakley” or “Sprinkles” if it is a boy (Again, how cute is that?!).
Oliver says it would be nice to have another lady around the house. He’s pushing to name her Lexi. He is super thrilled to be a big brother again and he grins like crazy when he talks about it! So sweet.
Quinn can’t wait to take care of the baby—he is my biggest helper and LOVES babies. This is his dream come true!! He is especially looking forward to feeding the baby when it’s time for solids! At church, I often find him carrying around someone's baby so it will be nice to have one "in house" that he can dote on all he wants!
We will find out the gender when we can and I’ll be sure to keep you all updated on whether or not I have to change the blog to Mother Of Knights and a Princess or if things can remain status quo! I'm not sure if I'm on TEAM BLUE or TEAM PINK yet--like most parents, I will love him or her no matter what! It’s been 5 years since I had a baby around here so I’ll be picking your brains for all the latest and best baby gear and where to find things second hand too!
I gave away all my maternity clothes and I need some new things already!
The good news is that Stitch Fix, one of my favorite clothing companies, now carries maternity wear! YES!! I have my first maternity box arriving on April 1st! A personal stylist will hand pick 5 items and accessories for me and wrap them beautifully before sending them to my door! Easy as pie! Free returns if I don’t love something. They carry regular sizes of course, and even petites! Check it out for yourself by following this affiliate link!
We really are excited to see what God has in store for this new child and we are trusting both God’s timing and provision for us. Psalm 84:1-4 has been popping up in my readings lately and I am so thankful that the Lord has been covering me with His promises during this exciting new chapter for our family:
How lovely is your dwelling place,
Lord Almighty!
My soul yearns, even faints,
for the courts of the Lord;
my heart and my flesh cry out
for the living God.
Even the sparrow has found a home,
and the swallow a nest for herself,
where she may have her young—
a place near your altar,
Lord Almighty, my King and my God.
Blessed are those who dwell in your house;
they are ever praising you.
That passage gives me a lot of comfort. I’m still a little nervous though. This will be my 4th C-Section and as I mentioned earlier, I’m pretty wiped out and nauseated still. Thanks for covering us in your prayers and sharing in our joy!
